I did this to discharge my battery ( Ni-MH, NI-Cd, Li-ion.. ) once per month, hope they long life.
The MAX933 IC has an internal 1.182V +- 2 % reference , make this design simple.
You can discharge Battery at any current you want, by change those resistors, My listing is for 120mA. When discharge, the resistors become so heat that may hurt you hand, but would not burn.
Connect battery and push the switch, the relay will hold itself. when the voltage down to 8V (jump disconnect) or 6V (jump connect), it release automatic, no more consumption.
